dc.description.abstract Background: Family planning is crucial for maternal and child health, yet its uptake remains suboptimal in Uganda. Objective: To assess knowledge, attitudes, and practices towards family planning among women of reproductive age in Kalisizo Town Council, Kyotera District. Methods: A cross-sectional study employing quantitative methods was conducted among 399 women. Systemic random sampling and self-administered questionnaires ensured representation and confidentiality. Results: The study revealed moderate knowledge (77.2%) and favorable attitudes (40.9%) towards family planning. However, only 56.9% used modern family planning methods. Education, media exposure, and partner support significantly influenced knowledge, attitudes, and practices. Conclusion: This study highlights gaps in family planning knowledge, attitudes, and practices in Kalisizo Town Council. Interventions addressing education, media exposure, and partner engagement are recommended to improve family planning uptake and maternal health outcomes. en_US
